Summer Program - Vienna University of Economics and Business (WU)

Dear students,

We are pleased to announce the International Summer University, Vienna University of Economics and Business (WU). It is an intensive short program, which provides international students with an excellent opportunity for international education. It will take place twice in summer in three-week sessions (one three-week session in July and one three-week session in August) in Vienna and offers courses for both undergraduate and graduate students.

WU will also provide 5 scholarships to GBSN Member Schools; IBA is a member of GBSN, therefore, IBA applicants are eligible for scholarship.

Introduction:
The International Summer UniversityWU (ISUWU) is an intensive short-program. Students from all around the globe will come to WU, bringing with them their unique backgrounds and a passion for intercultural learning. In two different sessions, the unique ISUWU 2017 program structure will include both bachelor and master students.

Scholarship Details:
WU will extend up to 5 scholarships. The following services are covered as part of the scholarship:
- Business courses with an international perspective
- Breakfast and lunch (Monday through Friday on lecture days)
- Accommodation in a students' residence hall off-campus
- Internet access (WiFi) on campus and in residence halls
- Public transportation ticket within Vienna for the whole time of the session
- Course materials
- Company visits (in the graduate program)
- Opportunities for intercultural exchange through the social and cultural program and information on student-friendly weekend packages for exploring Europe, entry fees are to be paid by the students themselves
- Use of WU's library, computer laboratories, eLearning services, and language resource center
- Grade certificate
- Support of the ISUWU team

Documents Required:
Applicant must upload all necessary application documents, demonstrate excellent command of the language of instruction (English), and meet all the requirements specified in the course description. (All documents that are not issued in English or German must be provided together with an adequate translation into English or German. It is advised to gather all supporting documents before you start the online application process. Only files less than approximately 2MB are allowed to be uploaded. (Allowed filetypes: jpeg, jpg, png, bmp, gif, doc, docx, pdf))
- Résumé/CV
- One-page letter of motivation: Tell us why you want to participate this summer.
- Grade transcripts from your home university and a confirmation indicating the beginning and the expected end of your studies
- Proof of enrollment in an MBA or master program with a focus on business administration/economics or a certificate of completion of a bachelor degree in a business major.
- Official proof of English proficiency: Applicants whose native language is not English and those who are not enrolled in an English-language program must submit a copy of one of the required English language certificates.
- A copy of your passport (main pages)
- One passport-sized photo: not older than one year.
- Scholarship applicants are additionally asked to submit a scholarship essay. Details on this assignment can be found in the ISUWU scholarship guidelines on the website.

Program Dates:

July Program: July 10 - July 28, 2017
August Program: July 31 - August 17, 2017

Application Decision: by April 28, 2017
